Cossacks: European Wars allows gamers to play historical events on a massive scale. You can lead colossal battles of up to 8000 units in a single or network game map. Cossacks: Europeans Wars contains a great deal of historical data while the full version includes a detailed encyclopedia about the nations, wars, technology, armies, battles and units used in Europe between the XVI-XVII centuries.

Players can choose from more than 85 full-scale wars and battles for single-player and multiplayer mode. Some of the most noteworthy wars would be the English Revolution, the English and Dutch wars, the War for Spanish Succession and the Ukrainian War of Independence. The game has a style similar to Age of Empires; both games had an easy and simplistic gaming style. What sets this game apart from large titles such as Starcraft and Warcraft is the usefulness and ease of using the formations. Cossacks has a more complex style of gameplay. One of the main faults in Cossacks is that the towns are easy to destroy. One fast cavalry unit can sneak into the unguarded portion of a town and slaughter all the peasants and buildings. Often, this changes the tide of the battle. For this reason, people may want to keep a small group of sentries posted throughout their town.

The AI for Cossacks: European Wars is outstanding in places and detestable in others. With missions, a person may note the challenging and unique missions. Some of the missions in this game are ruthlessly difficulty, but there are a lot of strategies that can be used to win them.

While there are plenty of units with particular characteristics, people cannot queue up orders when the game is paused. Additionally, the countries may have some variation, but some people might argue that it was not enough. Beginners to the game may want to start their campaign during a time of peace. This ensures their buildings are not destroyed in the first five minutes.

The game provides people with a choice of up to sixteen different nations. Having a ton of units can prove useful, but players want to upgrade them quickly, or they will be useless against stronger armies. Gamers can choose from a wide selection of upgrades to battle their opponent. The area where this game is unique is with the point system. This is where the computer tracks a player's brilliant attacks, which helps them to score additional points. If a person simply charges at the enemy, they will not receive many points. All history enthusiasts who love strategy games will find this game to be a phenomenal choice. The historical campaigns provide a great deal of entertainment that will keep people playing for hours.
